Quick update 5/1

We have not shipped!
We locked addresses in backerkit which sent a notification letting you know to hop in and update your address if needed (not a shipping notification). This is a step we need to take so we can generate an accurate backer list to send to our fulfillment partners so they can start preparing for their portion of the process. Fulfillment is still expected to take place in August for most regions.
Mass Production Approval Soon
The Mass Production Copy (MPC) has been shipped from Panda and should arrive in the next few days. This is our final review before the full assembly. We will be posting a bonus update with some pictures and any findings from our review sometime soon!
Thanks!

Timeline update and a surprise!

Pledge Manager - We’ve processed most of the shipping charges through BackerKit. We will be reaching out to people who had errored cards or incomplete surveys this month to try to work things out. The next step will be locking addresses, which we will do this month as well. This doesn’t mean you can’t change your address later if needed, it will just be a manual process on our end.
Timeline Update - With production underway we’ve received an updated timeline from Panda. They expect to have our approval copy ready on April 27th. Assuming no major changes, we are expected to finish production and assembly on May 18th. We have connected with our fulfillment partners to start planning our freight shipments. As of now we are still on track for August delivery.
Extra Treat - Today we are making a little print and play bonus module available for anyone who wants it. You can download it on our website or on the BGG Game Page. Enjoy!
Thanks!

Survey is coming to an end!

BackerKit Survey Closing March 6th - Please make sure your survey is complete before that. Feel free to message here or email us if you need help.
Production - Panda has been on holiday for the Lunar New Year for much of February so production should pick up in earnest this week. We will be moving on to coordinating freight arrangements with our fulfillment partners while we wait for the mass production copy to arrive sometime in May or early June.
For US backers - The tariff situation is still somewhat fluid so we feel it is best to maintain our wait-and-see plan rather than trying to make a prediction early. Our hope is that tariffs will be manageable enough that no extra charge will be needed.
Conventions - We have paid our deposit and locked-in for Essen. For anyone with pickup selected we will give some additional instructions closer to the event. For anyone else who might be in attendance, come say hi!
We will be in attendance at Gencon but very unlikely to have an official presence. For anyone with pickup we will coordinate closer to the date once we work out logistics (possible partnerships or if we will simply walk around and hand them to you).
Thanks!

Why We Make Games
– Sun, Feb 01, 2026 at 07:39:42 AM
Boardgames are magic - For us, they create spaces where people can come together and interact, sometimes cooperatively, sometimes opposed, within a structure that allows the events in the game to be separated from life outside the game. We make games because we want to help create those spaces, and to bring that joy to people all over the world. We focus on gameplay rather than theme or messaging because that’s the type of game we are most interested in playing repeatedly. It’s also how we generally approach managing this business, which, for anyone not aware, is something we do in our spare time.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to maintain that separation at this point with an occupying force of authoritarian immigration police in our home town (Minneapolis). They’ve murdered two of our neighbors, injured countless others, and separated families.
Collectively, we oppose state violence in all of its forms. Whether it be the genocide in Gaza, police brutality that has plagued our country for decades, or the unaccountable pseudo-military occupying our state right now. Our neighbors weren’t the first people killed, they likely won’t be the last, and there may be many lives taken that we never even learn about. We will keep making games because that's the best way we know to make the world a better place.

Production Update - Kick-off for production is just around the corner. All files have been uploaded to Panda and reviewed, we just need to do one final approval of the full set of files before initiating production to start. Lots of little adjustments were needed on the foreign language versions so we ended up spending a bit of extra time on that now to make production run smoothly. We’ve used up all of the buffer we included in our timeline at this point so any hiccups we encounter could cause some delay in fulfillment. From this point on, any delays specific to foreign language versions will no longer affect the main English production. We’ve paid our initial production deposit and as of now we are still on track for August fulfillment.
Pledge Manager - In preparation of the pledge manager closing on Friday, March 6th, please make sure your survey is completed. We will be re-sending notifications to anyone with an incomplete survey as well as reaching out individually as needed.
GenCon - Convention pickup is still in our plans, it will just be a little different than we originally thought. Getting a booth at GenCon apparently comes down to whether or not you had one in the previous year, since the size of the convention is essentially at capacity for the space they have available. So our application for a booth was denied and we were put on a waiting list. It also looks like our freight to the US will be cutting it too close to reliably make it to GenCon even if we were taken off the waiting list. We still plan to attend the show to connect with everyone who signed-up to pick up there. We will be shipping pick-up copies directly to us from the Factory to avoid the ocean freight delay. So, if you’ve signed up for GenCon pickup there’s no need to change your preference, we will get your game(s) to you at the show, it just might be at a different booth or something we coordinate directly with you.
Essen - Essen pick-up should be no problem. It’s well after our expected timeline and we submitted our application for a booth about a week ago, fingers crossed.

PPC and Heading into Production Soon

Lots of good news with a pinch of caution this month.
We’ve received the pre-production versions of Landmarks of the Lost Atlas, the first printing Revision Kit, and the second printing base game box and rulebooks (no need to print everything here as most of it is not changing from our original run). Check out some pictures below!

We have some small updates to make with Panda, mostly around some card orientations that we had already flagged as needing a fix but didn’t want to delay the PPC. We will confirm that they are being corrected for the start of production.
All international partner files are uploaded to Panda and in pre-press approval. We put a lot of work into getting those files corrected with our partners directly so we shouldn’t have much, if anything, to work through here.
Timeline updates and expectations - As of now we are still on track for August fulfillment. That being said, there are two major periods ahead that could have some delays in them. For production, Panda will be working to gain some time on the estimated timeline if they can to give us more of a buffer, but it is possible for production to take longer than anticipated. Ocean freight is the other part of the process that isn’t fully predictable. We will be working with our fulfillment partners to get our shipping plan finalized and submitted to Panda ASAP once production starts.
Finally, a reminder to please make sure you have completed your survey on BackerKit. If you didn’t get an email, send us a message on Kickstarter or email [email protected] with your name/backer number and we’ll send you a direct link to your survey.
Thanks so much!
